From Elementary through High School Diploma, with SAT and ACT preparation. A smooth pathway to American and Kenyan universities.
The American curriculum is one of the most flexible and widely recognised education systems in the world. It uses a credit-based system where students accumulate credits across subjects throughout high school, culminating in an American High School Diploma.
What makes it appealing for many families is the continuous assessment model. Instead of everything riding on final exams, students are graded through coursework, projects, quizzes, class participation and regular tests throughout the year. This approach suits learners who perform better with ongoing assessment rather than high-pressure exam sprints.
The American High School Diploma is accepted by universities in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and here in Kenya. Combined with strong SAT or ACT scores, it opens doors to some of the most competitive institutions in the world.
GRADES 1 – 5
English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Art, Music and Physical Education. Learning is exploratory and engaging, building core skills in reading, writing and numeracy.
GRADES 6 – 8
Students begin to rotate between subject specialists. More depth in Science (Biology, Physical Science, Earth Science), Pre-Algebra, World History and introduction to foreign languages.
GRADES 9 – 12
Students earn credits in English, Maths, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Fine Arts and Physical Education. Electives allow specialisation. A minimum of 24 credits earns the High School Diploma.
Most competitive American universities require either SAT or ACT scores alongside the High School Diploma. We integrate test preparation into the high school programme from Grade 10, so students are not cramming at the last minute.
Can I combine American curriculum with IGCSE subjects? Yes. Some families choose to take core subjects through the American programme and add IGCSE Maths or Science for extra rigour. We can build a customised combination that meets your child's university goals. Discuss this during your consultation.
Whether you are planning for a US university or want a credit-based alternative to exam-heavy systems, we are here to help you decide.
