Why IB?

The International Baccalaureate is not just another curriculum. It is a philosophy of education that develops young people who are knowledgeable, curious, caring and equipped to succeed in a globalised world. IB students regularly outperform their peers in university and beyond.

IB is particularly strong for students who want to develop critical thinking, research skills and a genuine understanding of how different subjects connect. It is the gold standard for admission to competitive universities in the US, UK, Canada and across Europe.

At Impact, we deliver all three IB programmes, giving your child a seamless IB journey from age 3 right through to university entrance.

Three IB Programmes, One Home

IB Primary Years (PYP)

AGES 3 – 12

PYP uses inquiry-based learning to build foundational skills across languages, mathematics, science, social studies and the arts. Your child learns by asking questions, exploring ideas and making connections, not by memorising answers.

  • Six transdisciplinary themes
  • Learner profile development
  • Exhibition project in final year

IB Middle Years (MYP)

AGES 11 – 16

MYP bridges the gap between primary and diploma level. Students study eight subject groups and complete a personal project that demonstrates their ability to research, create and reflect independently.

  • Eight subject groups
  • Personal Project in Year 5
  • Global contexts for real-world learning

IB Diploma (DP)

AGES 16 – 19

The IB Diploma is widely regarded as the most challenging and respected pre-university qualification in the world. Students study six subjects, write an extended essay, complete Theory of Knowledge and contribute through CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service).

  • Six subjects at HL and SL
  • Extended Essay (4,000 words)
  • Theory of Knowledge + CAS

IB at Impact: Our Approach

  • 01 IB-trained educators — Our IB teachers hold official IB workshop certifications and have direct experience delivering the programmes.
  • 02 Inquiry-led teaching — Lessons are structured around student questions and investigations, not teacher lectures. This is how IB is meant to be delivered.
  • 03 Extended Essay supervision — Diploma students get one-on-one supervision from a subject specialist to guide their research and writing.
  • 04 CAS coordination — We help students plan, document and reflect on their Creativity, Activity and Service experiences.
  • 05 Internal Assessment support — IAs are a significant part of IB grading. We ensure students understand the criteria and submit work they can be proud of.
  • 06 Mock exams and revision — Scheduled mock periods with full IB-style papers and detailed feedback sessions.
