Speaking a second or third language is one of the most valuable skills a person can develop. It improves cognitive function, opens career opportunities and builds cultural understanding. In Kenya's increasingly connected economy, bilingual and multilingual professionals are in high demand.

At Impact, we teach languages the way they are meant to be learned: through conversation, immersion and practical use, not just grammar drills. Our teachers are fluent or native speakers who bring cultural context into every lesson.

We offer language classes as part of our curriculum programmes (IGCSE French, IB French B, etc.), as standalone courses for exam preparation, or as general interest classes for children and adults who want to learn for personal or professional reasons.

Languages We Teach

French

Our most popular language. Available from beginner to advanced, including IGCSE, A-Level and IB exam preparation. Conversational French classes also available for adults.

Spanish

Increasingly valuable in global business. Beginner to intermediate classes with a focus on conversational fluency and practical communication skills.

Mandarin Chinese

Opening doors to the world's second-largest economy. Basic conversational Chinese with character recognition, pinyin and cultural context.

German

Useful for students considering university in Germany or Austria, where tuition is often free for international students. Beginner to intermediate level.

Arabic

Modern Standard Arabic for beginners. Reading, writing and basic conversation. Valuable for business, diplomacy and cultural understanding in East Africa and the Middle East.

Swahili

For non-Kenyan families or children who have grown up abroad and need to strengthen their Swahili. Also available for CBC learners needing extra support in the language learning area.

How We Teach Languages

01 Communicative approach — From lesson one, students are encouraged to speak. Grammar is taught in context, not as isolated rules
02 Small groups — Maximum 8 students per language class, giving everyone plenty of speaking practice time
03 Cultural immersion — Music, films, food, festivals and current events from countries where the language is spoken
04 Exam-aligned for curriculum students — IGCSE, A-Level and IB language syllabuses followed precisely with past paper practice
05 Flexible scheduling — Weekday, weekend and holiday options available for standalone language courses
